Understand the acceptable use, guidelines, and rules for participating in the MyJansevak community.
1. Purpose
These Content & Community Guidelines define acceptable use of MyJansevak.
They are designed to:
- Maintain respectful civic engagement
- Prevent misuse of the complaint system
- Ensure compliance with Indian laws
These guidelines operate in conjunction with:
2. Platform Nature (Important Disclaimer)
MyJansevak is a technology intermediary platform.
- Content (including complaints, comments, and updates) is user-generated
- The Platform does not independently verify all submissions
- Views expressed by users do not represent the Platform
As per:
👉 Information Technology Act, 2000 (Section 79 – Safe Harbour)
3. Acceptable Use
Users may use the Platform to:
- Submit genuine civic complaints
- Share factual, verifiable information
- Communicate respectfully with leaders
- Track public issue resolution
4. Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly prohibited:
4.1 Defamation & False Allegations
- False accusations against any individual or leader
- Unverified claims presented as facts
- Content harming reputation without evidence
(Refer: Defamation under Indian law)
4.2 Hate Speech & Abusive Content
- Content targeting religion, caste, gender, or community
- Threats, harassment, or abusive language
- Incitement to violence
4.3 Political Manipulation & Election Influence
- Campaign messaging or political propaganda
- Election-influencing communication
- Paid or coordinated political promotion
Users must comply with:

4.4 Misinformation & Misleading Content
- Fake news
- Edited or misleading media
- Incorrect data intended to mislead users
4.5 Spam & Misuse
- Repeated or irrelevant complaints
- Promotional or commercial spam
- Automated or bot-generated submissions
4.6 Impersonation
- Pretending to be another individual, leader, or authority
- Fake profiles or identity misuse
4.7 Privacy Violations
- Sharing personal data without consent
- Posting phone numbers, addresses, or sensitive information
4.8 Illegal Content
Any content violating Indian laws, including but not limited to:
👉 Information Technology Act, 2000
👉 Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023
5. Complaint Submission Rules (VERY IMPORTANT FOR YOUR PLATFORM)
To maintain credibility:
- Complaints must be genuine and based on real issues
- Users should provide accurate details
- Supporting evidence is encouraged
Not Allowed:
- Political targeting
- Personal vendetta complaints
- Fake or mass-generated complaints
6. Verification & “Verified Profile” Clarification
- “Verified” status only confirms identity and consent
- It does not imply endorsement, credibility, or correctness of claims
7. Moderation & Enforcement
MyJansevak reserves the right to:
- Review, edit, or remove content
- Suspend or terminate accounts
- Restrict access to features
Moderation may be:
- Automated
- Manual
- Based on user reports
8. Reporting Violations
Users can report content through:
- “Report” button on Platform
- Email: support@myjansevak.com
All reports will be handled as per the Grievance Redressal Policy.
9. Consequences of Violations
Violations may result in:
- Content removal
- Warning to user
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent account termination
- Legal action (if required)
10. False Complaints & Abuse
Submitting false or malicious complaints may lead to:
- Account suspension
- Restriction from submitting future complaints
- Legal consequences
11. Platform Responsibility Limitation
As an intermediary:
- MyJansevak does not guarantee accuracy of all user content
- We act upon receiving valid complaints or legal notice
- We follow due diligence under applicable law
12. Compliance with Government & Legal Orders
We may remove content or share data when required by:
- Court orders
- Government authorities
- Law enforcement agencies
13. Updates to Guidelines
These Guidelines may be updated periodically. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance.
